Calor gas living flame stove or electric fan heating available for any chilly nights, but rarely needed as the sun shines on the gite from morning till night.

The gravel driveway to the gite has space for several cars.
LOCAL AREA:
A wonderful riverside walk meanders its way to Gavray, and many other superb walks are accessible direct from the gite. Fishing is available in the river within 200 yards of the gite and the area is teeming with wildlife such as deer, badgers, hare, buzzards, owls, and even the occasional otter.
The local town of Gavray, which is just 5 minutes by car, has a supermarket as well as a choice of restaurants, patisseries, banks, shops etc. A very popular market is held in the town every Saturday morning.
The pristine sandy beaches of the west coast are a mere 20 minutes drive away. The port of Granville is a 20 minutes drive and here you can enjoy the many fish restaurants, visit the Christian Dior House and Gardens on the clifftop above the town. There are ferries to the Channel Islands of which Jersey is a popular place for a day trip. The famous ‘copper’ town of Villedieu les Poeles, and Coutances with its superb Cathedral are all within 20 minutes or so. You can visit the Bell Foundry in Villedieu where the newest bell was made for Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. The famous Monastry of Mont St Michel, the town of Bayeux with the Tapestry dating back to the 14th century and many more of Normandy’s main attractions are an easy drive. For golf enthusiasts, there is a Link Course in Granville, described as one of the only true link courses in France. Golf de Coutainville is 20 minutes drive this an 18 hole course.
There are many outdoor tennis courts situated locally.
Trout fishing is 200 metres from La Cachette. Carp fishing is available in several places in Manche.
